Beef Corn Bread Pie

1 pound of ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 can of tomato soup
2 cups of water
1 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
1 tablespoon of chili powder
1 cup of whole kernel corn, drained
1/2 cup of chopped green pepper

Brown beef and oil in skillet, add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 15 minutes. Place in greased casserole, cover with topping. Bake at 425ºF. for 20 - 25 minutes. 5 - 6 serves 


1 pound of corn meal
1 tablespoons of flour
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup of milk
1 tablespoons of corn oil

Stir together dry ingredients, add egg and milk, blending lightly. Fold in corn oil.
