| Barbecued Sausages (Mititei - Rumania)
1 pound of beef, ground twice 1 teaspoon of salt black pepper to taste 3/4 teaspoon of powdered dried thyme 3/4 teaspoon of powdered dried marjoram 1/4 teaspoon of powdered bay leaf 1 onion, minced 1 small clove garlic, minced 3 tablespoons of cold water 2 tablespoons of oil |

Combine the beef with all the remaining ingredients, except the oil. Cover and set aside for six hours. Shape into thin sausages 1 inch in diameter and 2 inches long. Brush with oil and grill over charcoal or under broiler for 8 minutes on each side until crisp and brown. Serves 4.
