| M & M Party Cookies
1 cup of butter or margarine
1 cup of light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup of sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons of vanilla
2 1/4 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 1/2 cup of plain M & M's |

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Beat together sugars and shortening until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined flour, soda, and salt. Mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup candies. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Press 2 or 3 additional candies into each cookie. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 6 dozen. |
